Cushion Selection Tailoring | Cushions | Construction | Fabric | Warranty The seat cushion is the most important element in your body's decision. What your body registers automatically, your brain might like to understand. Here are the important facts about cushions: 1. To provide support, comfort and bounce, cushions must be made of High Resilience Foam and wrapped in a second layer of softer density foam. Lower resilience foam may look good initially but quickly softens. Foam cushions that are not wrapped in additional layers feel hard and stiff. All cushions soften with use. As a rule, 15% softening is the industry standard under conditions of normal in-home use. We warrant that our cushion cores will meet or exceed industry standards.
2. There is no higher luxury than down and feather cushions. Properly constructed feather cushions offer a soft, sensuous feel that allows a person to sink deeply into the cushion while still experiencing ergonomic support. Loosely stuffed feather cushions often feel too soft and leave the furniture looking messy.
