The seat cushion is the most important element in your body's decision. What your body registers automatically, your brain might like to understand. Here are the important facts about cushions:

1. To provide support, comfort and bounce, cushions must be made of High Resilience Foam and wrapped in a second layer of softer density foam. Lower resilience foam may look good initially but quickly softens. Foam cushions that are not wrapped in additional layers feel hard and stiff. All cushions soften with use. As a rule, 15% softening is the industry standard under conditions of normal in-home use. We warrant that our cushion cores will meet or exceed industry standards.

• Marshfield Furniture uses only the highest quality high resiliency foam. We careful select both the foam and the materials that wrap it to ensure that a person feels cradled and supported every time he/she sits down. We are so confident that we offer a lifetime warranty on our cushions.

2. There is no higher luxury than down and feather cushions. Properly constructed feather cushions offer a soft, sensuous feel that allows a person to sink deeply into the cushion while still experiencing ergonomic support. Loosely stuffed feather cushions often feel too soft and leave the furniture looking messy.

• Marshfield Furniture's CLOUD cushions feature a high resiliency foam core wrapped in polyester fiber surrounded by a balanced blend of down and feather. Down and feathers are encased in a down-proof ticking fabric. Sewn compartments limit shifting of materials and provide a cushion within a cushion. This wonderful plush seating is available as an upgrade on specific frame styles.
